📊 JSON ↔ CSV Converter
Open a JSON array of objects from an API in Excel, or turn spreadsheet data into JSON for an API — both directions are supported, with downloads. Runs locally.
JSON → CSV
Paste a JSON array of objects; the headers are automatically the union of all object keys.
CSV → JSON
Paste CSV, with the first row as headers; all values are treated as strings, and quoted fields (containing commas or newlines) are parsed correctly.
FAQ
Some objects are missing a field — will the columns misalign?
No. The headers are the union of all object keys, and missing fields are left blank automatically, so columns never shift.
What about commas, quotes, or newlines inside field values?
They are handled following the CSV standard: such values are wrapped in double quotes, and internal double quotes are doubled. Excel and WPS will restore them correctly when opening the file, and the reverse parser follows the same rules.
Why do numbers become strings after CSV to JSON conversion?
Yes. CSV has no type information, so all values are output as strings (such as "28"). If you need numbers, converting the types in code after the conversion is the safer approach.
